Call for Papers

The 12th International Conference on Bio-inspired Computing: Theories and Applications (BIC-TA 2017) will be held on December 1st-3rd, 2017, Harbin, China. The conference invites researchers to contribute high-quality original research papers in any aspect of bio-inspired computing. The main topics for the conference include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Molecular computing
  • Quantum computing
  • Optical computing
  • Chaos computing
  • Physarum computing
  • Collision-based computing
  • Self-assembling and self-organizing systems
  • Super-Turing computation
  • Cellular automata
  • Neural computation
  • Evolutionary computation
  • Swarm intelligence
  • Ant algorithms
  • Artificial immune systems
  • Artificial life
  • Membrane computing
  • Amorphous computing
  • Computational systems biology
  • Computational neuroscience
  • Synthetic biology
  • Cellular (in-vivo) computing

All accepted papers will be published in Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) by Springer. The clear majority of papers to be published in BIC-TA 2017 CCIS proceedings should be full papers (10 to 15 pages in the LNCS/CCIS one-column page format); short papers and poster papers (no less than 6 pages) should make up only for selected papers to be published. In addition, extended versions of selected papers will be invited for special issues in several international journals in the field, including:

1. Memetic Computing (Springer, SCI IF: 0.900)

2. CAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology (Elsevier)

3. TBA
